How to Style Your Hair While You Sleep

First thing in the morning, there are about a million things that take priority over your hair.

Getting breakfast on the table, getting the kids out of bed, getting yourself to work on time, the list goes on and on.

But what if there was a way to set up your hair before you went to bed, and wake up ready to face the day?

For many of us, our night time routine often involves a nice shower before bed. But did you know that by putting your hair in a specific twist, bun or braid straight after stepping out of the shower and leaving it overnight, you could wake up looking like you’ve just left the salon?

Here are some of our favourite sleep-in-styles which you can try for yourself.

Overnight Curls

Check out this tutorial from Makeup Wearables which will help you get perfect curls just like Kim Kardashian.

It’s a little bit of an unconventional method, using paper towels, but if it works, then it’s got to be worth it!

Just make sure you don’t use cheap towels and wake up with bits in your hair!

10-Second Topknot

Fancy keeping things nice and simple? This straightforward topknot from The Freckled Fox can be done in as little as ten seconds and will leave you with a versatile, voluminous do!

Sleek & Straight

If you’ve got naturally wavy and curly hair and spend half of your morning routine sat there with your straighteners, why not save yourself the hassle and do it the night before?

Messy Braid

For this braided style by Brit + Co. make sure to set your hair up in a nice tight braid before spritzing with a bit of hairspray to lock everything in place.

Big Braid-Out

This big style is perfect for natural-haired girls, giving you a French-braided style full of volume.

Check out the tutorial at Loxa Beauty.

Iron-Free Waves

For this perfect loose style, you’ll need to take five claw clips and pin your hair up in a twisted bun.

Then release in the morning for perfect wavy hair, without having to use an iron!

So there you have it, by taking a couple of simple pre-bed steps, you could wake up ready to face the day with gorgeous hair, and you can maybe even treat yourself to another ten minutes in bed!
