7 Podcasts To Listen To, To Help Relax Before Bed

If you are one of those people who goes to bed with great intentions, only to lie awake feeling frustrated as your mind races and you just think about how if you get to sleep right this very second, you’ll get 6 hours and 23 minutes of sleep, you are probably looking for something new to try to help you get to sleep at night.

There are lots of things you can do to help yourself fall asleep, but one of our favourite methods is listening to a podcast. When reading, at some point you have to put your book away and switch off the light… and if you really struggle with insomnia, this can be enough to wake you up and let your mind snap back to the things you didn’t tick off your to-do list today. With a podcast, you can simply let it end, hopefully once you’re already in dreamland. Plus, there’s just something about listening to people speak that is really soothing, isn’t there?

Whether you need funny stories to take your mind off your worries, guided meditation to help you relax, or want to use the time before you sleep to learn something useful or interesting, there’s a podcast for you. Here are seven of our favourites!

Tell Me Something I Don’t Know

You might learn something really cool! It’s definitely good ammo for the next time you find yourself stuck for something to talk about at a party.

TED Talks

So learning a language before bed is a great idea! Make productive use of the end of your day to learn a new skill.
